Since the beginning of 2024, Nissan has consistently offered promotions on their vehicles, and this trend continues into September. Dealerships across Vietnam are offering incentives, with a focus on registration fee discounts.

A dealership in Central Vietnam is offering a registration fee subsidy of up to 200% for the Nissan Almera VL, the most premium model of the sedan, produced in 2023. This amounts to a significant savings of up to VND 120 million, bringing the post-discount price down to an attractive VND 475 million.

The Nissan Almera EL, a standard model with the VIN number 2024, is also on offer with a 100% registration fee discount, resulting in a savings of approximately VND 54 million.

One dealership in Quang Tri province is offering an impressive VND 100 million discount on the Nissan Almera EL, bringing the price down to just VND 439 million. However, there are limited quantities and color options available for these vehicles.

The Nissan Kicks, a compact SUV, is also on offer with a cash discount of VND 223 million for the top-of-the-line V model, bringing the price down to VND 635 million.

For those interested in a pickup truck, the Nissan Navara is an attractive option with a 100% registration fee discount on the EL 2WD standard model, equating to a savings of VND 68 million. The remaining three models—EL 2WD Upgraded, VL 4WD, and PRO-4X—are offered with a 50% registration fee discount, resulting in savings ranging from VND 35 million to VND 48 million.

A dealership in Hanoi is maintaining their August promotion of a 150% registration fee discount on the Nissan Kicks, Almera, and Navara. This translates to savings ranging from VND 81 million to VND 172 million, depending on the model and registration province.

It’s important to note that all Nissan vehicles in Vietnam are imported, which contributes to their less competitive pricing. Additionally, these vehicles are not eligible for the government’s registration fee incentive program.

Nissan faces challenges in the Vietnamese market due to a lack of advanced technology, high spare part costs, and ineffective marketing. As a result, both the brand and its dealerships have had to rely heavily on promotions to attract local customers.

In the latter half of 2024, Nissan plans to introduce an upgraded version of the Almera to the Vietnamese market, while the Kicks has already discontinued its standard model earlier this year. Currently, there are no plans to import the 2024 model of the Nissan Kicks to Vietnam, and the current offerings are limited to the premium V model produced in 2023.

With these promotions, Nissan aims to boost sales and attract customers despite the challenges they face in the Vietnamese market.
