Some car dealerships have recently announced a 50% discount on registration fees for customers purchasing the Suzuki Jimny and Suzuki XL7 hybrid models during this September.

Specifically, this offer translates to a cash discount of VND 40 million and 30 million, respectively, for the Jimny and XL7. After the discount, the Jimny’s price is now approximately VND 749 million, while the XL7 hybrid is around VND 570 million.

The Suzuki Jimny officially debuted in the Vietnamese market in April 2024. It boasts a robust and muscular design with distinctive features such as classic round headlights, a vertical slat grille, large side mirrors, a side-opening tailgate, and a rear-mounted spare tire.

Jimny’s boxy design is a unique offering in the Vietnamese SUV market, providing a distinct choice for consumers who seek a blend of strength, character, and practicality. It is ideal for those who enjoy off-roading and navigating diverse terrains.

The Suzuki Jimny in Vietnam is powered by a 1.5L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 101 horsepower and 130 Nm of torque. Notably, the Jimny is likely the only small SUV in its segment equipped with a four-wheel-drive system, a differential lock, multiple terrain modes, and a choice of a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.

Meanwhile, the Suzuki XL7 hybrid was just launched in Vietnam on August 20.

The most significant difference between the Suzuki XL7 Hybrid and its conventional counterparts lies in its powertrain. The XL7 Hybrid is equipped with a hybrid system that combines a 1.5L gasoline engine producing 103 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque with an electric generator and a lithium-ion battery.

The addition of an electric generator enables the XL7 Hybrid to feature automatic engine stop/start functionality and improved acceleration compared to purely gasoline-powered vehicles. This results in enhanced performance and fuel efficiency, making it a highly attractive proposition.

In addition to the new powertrain, the XL7 also boasts modern features such as automatic headlights, cruise control, and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
