Formula One racer Fernando Alonso recently splashed out over $4 million for the limited-edition Aston Martin Valkyrie coupe. The supercar now sports a Monaco license plate, reflecting its new owner’s racing spirit.
Aston Martin produced only 260 Valkyries, comprising 150 coupes, 85 roadsters, and 25 AMR Pro versions. This rare vehicle represents a collaboration between Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing, incorporating design elements inspired by Formula One racecars.
Alonso’s Valkyrie stands out with its Satin Aston Martin Racing Green exterior and contrasting AMR Satin Lime accents. The unique color combination exudes elegance and sportiness.
The interior of the Aston Martin Valkyrie is a masterpiece of simplicity and functionality. Carbon fiber seats are seamlessly integrated into the monocoque chassis, while the steering wheel houses buttons for various functions, including entertainment controls.
Alcantara, a lightweight and luxurious material, graces the seats, dashboard, and steering wheel, accented by contrasting stitching and Aston Martin’s iconic wings logo, finished in white thread. The red seatbelts add a bold touch to the cabin.
A notable detail is the number “14” on the accelerator pedal, reflecting Alonso’s racing number, a constant reminder of his F1 legacy.
Under the hood, the Aston Martin Valkyrie boasts a hybrid powertrain, marrying a 6.5L naturally aspirated V12 engine with an electric motor to deliver a staggering 1,156 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque.
Securing an Aston Martin Valkyrie is no easy feat. Prospective owners are required to make a substantial deposit, and the waiting period for delivery can span several years.
Given its intricate F1-inspired technology, the Valkyrie demands meticulous maintenance, including servicing every 5,000 km and gearbox overhauls every 50,000 km.
