Many households and businesses are considering expanding their income streams through V-GREEN’s franchised charging station model.
Doubling, tripling profits with a 2-in-1 model
As soon as he learned about V-GREEN’s franchised charging station model, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hieu from Ho Chi Minh City saw a new business opportunity for himself. Mr. Hieu currently owns a car care garage with a floor area of over 250 square meters.
“With the increasing number of electric vehicles on the road, we are also looking to cater to electric car owners to expand our customer base. Therefore, having an additional franchised charging station model is indeed a win-win situation,” said Mr. Hieu.
According to him, with a large storefront, he can arrange a space to install 8-10 charging ports without affecting his current business.
Under V-GREEN’s policy, landowners like him will receive a fixed revenue share of 750 VND per kWh. Considering the battery capacity of VinFast’s current models, he estimates that he will earn about 15,000-90,000 VND for each charge, depending on the model. “On average, if each charging port serves only two vehicles per day, equivalent to 600 vehicles per month, I can earn more than 50 million VND,” he calculated.
In reality, observing the number of electric vehicles in the city and the frequency of electric vehicles passing by his workshop daily, the garage owner believes that electric cars are becoming increasingly popular, leading to a significant demand for charging stations. Participating early will give him an advantage and help him gain customer recognition. Additionally, with the number of car owners coming to charge their vehicles, he hopes that more people will become aware of his shop and utilize his car care services, thereby doubling or tripling his profits.
Many families share similar thoughts with Mr. Hieu. Not only in the automotive field but also in other sectors, such as supermarkets, entertainment services, gas stations, warehousing services, transportation, restaurants, and cafes, this 2-in-1 model presents an excellent opportunity to diversify into the electric vehicle charging business.
“This model will enable existing shops and services to enhance their competitiveness and attract more customers. There will be tens of thousands of electric car owners who will prioritize visiting places with charging stations,” commented Vu Thai, a member of a prominent automotive forum.
Peace of Mind with a Decade-Long Commitment
In addition to the potentially lucrative profits, Mr. Tran Le Giang, an owner of a VF 8 electric car and a cafe in Can Tho, believes that the unique aspect of this model that immediately attracted him to become a V-GREEN partner is their decade-long commitment.
Specifically, V-GREEN promises a revenue share of 750 VND per kWh to its partners for a minimum of ten years. During this collaboration period, the company will provide support to its partners in all aspects, from technology management and operation to financial management, maintenance, and marketing. Moreover, V-GREEN pledges to compensate station owners if they cease operations before the ten-year commitment ends.
“This is an extraordinary deal, not only because of the excellent business opportunity it presents but also because of the peace of mind it offers. Having followed VinFast and Vingroup’s news for a long time, I have always trusted Vingroup’s ‘walk the talk’ approach,” said Mr. Giang.
From the perspective of an electric car owner, Mr. Giang believes that this model will also contribute to the widespread establishment of charging stations across the country. Tapping into the “people’s resources” will be the fastest and most effective way to solve the charging infrastructure challenge in Vietnam.
In reality, while V-GREEN has been expanding its charging station network across the nation, the growing demand surpasses the capabilities of a single enterprise. “Charging infrastructure is the foundation of green transportation. When charging stations become ubiquitous, people will be more open to adopting electric vehicles, leading to increased confidence in purchasing and using them, resulting in cleaner air and an improved living environment,” said Mr. Giang, expressing his expectations.
