The upcoming Gumball 3000 2024 event, hosted by Trung Nguyên next week, will feature an impressive lineup of 15 Ferrari supercars, including the intriguing duo of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano and the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta.
The curiosity surrounding these two vehicles stems from their powerful V12 engines. The entrepreneur’s garage boasts a trio of renowned naturally aspirated V12 “holy grails” from Ferrari: the 599, F12, and 812. However, only the 599 and F12 made the cut for the event, with the 812 notably absent.
Both the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano and the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta are finished in white. Interestingly, the 599 GTB Fiorano was originally painted in red but was later changed to white. Since its arrival in the country, the car has had four owners, including Mr. Vu, who sold and then repurchased it in 2024.
Under the hood, the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 engine that delivers a maximum output of 612 horsepower and 608 Nm of torque. This powerplant is paired with a 6-speed transmission, enabling the supercar to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 330 km/h. The car has also been fitted with a Frequency Intelligent Exhaust (FI) system worth hundreds of millions of dong.
Turning our attention to the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, this white supercar was first imported into the country nine years ago. Its initial owner was Phan Thanh, although the car changed hands a few times before finding its latest owner, “Qua” Vu, in 2022. Mr. Vu now owns three Ferrari F12 Berlinettas, including one in red that has been wrapped in black, and a Duke Dynamics edition, of which only 15 exist worldwide, with one gracing the streets of Vietnam.
All of Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu’s Ferrari F12 Berlinettas are powered by a naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 engine, one of the most powerful of its kind in a Ferrari. This engine produces a staggering 730 horsepower and 690 Nm of torque. Combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and lightning-fast gear shifts, the F12 Berlinetta accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds and has a top speed of 340 km/h.
