The Suzuki Jimny: Unveiling an Unprecedented 40 Million VND Offer in Vietnam

Suzuki Vietnam has recently announced attractive promotions for its vehicles in September 2024. This month, the official discounts are offered for two models: the XL7 Hybrid and the Jimny.

Specifically, both the Suzuki XL7 Hybrid and Jimny receive a 50% road tax support from the manufacturer. The incentives for these two models amount to VND 30 million and VND 40 million, respectively.

Suzuki’s promotional program will be effective from September 12 to September 30, 2024. In addition, customers who purchase the Suzuki XL7 Hybrid this month will also receive a gift set of genuine Suzuki accessories worth VND 5 million.

Official promotions for Suzuki Jimny and XL7 Hybrid in September 2024

For the Suzuki Jimny, this is the first official promotion since its launch in the Vietnamese market in April 2024. Thus, after the initial period of being sold with additional mandatory accessories at dealerships, the Suzuki Jimny is now offered at its correct price and with an incentive.

The Suzuki Jimny is currently available in Vietnam in two versions: a single-tone color option priced at VND 789 million and a two-tone color option priced at VND 799 million. These prices are considered relatively high given the Jimny’s small size, 4-seat interior, and basic features. However, the vehicle boasts a true SUV ladder frame, impressive off-road capabilities, and a compact, square exterior design reminiscent of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

The Suzuki Jimny shares the same engine as the XL7’s old gasoline version in Vietnam. It is equipped with a K15B 4-cylinder, 1.5L gasoline engine that delivers a maximum output of 101 horsepower and a peak torque of 130 Nm. The engine is paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission and a part-time 4-wheel drive system called AllGrip Pro, which includes a low-range transfer case. Additionally, the vehicle can switch between 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive modes.

Notable convenience features of the Jimny in Vietnam include LED headlights with standard washers, 15-inch alloy wheels, a spare tire mounted on the tailgate, analog gauges with a small multi-information display, a grab handle for the front passenger on the dashboard, a 9-inch central touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Autolink, USB, and Bluetooth Control Music Play, among others.

On the other hand, the new Suzuki XL7 Hybrid was launched in the Vietnamese market at the end of August 2024, with prices starting from VND 599.9 million to VND 607.9 million. The highlight of this small MPV is its Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) system, which combines a gasoline engine with an integrated starter generator (ISG) and a lithium-ion battery. The 4-cylinder, 1.5L gasoline engine produces a maximum output of 103 horsepower and a peak torque of 138 Nm, the same as the previous version. The engine is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission, and the vehicle has a fuel consumption of 5.9 liters per 100 kilometers.

In addition to the engine change, the Suzuki XL7 Hybrid also features some updates compared to the previous version, such as a new grille, alloy wheels, chrome trim, and a Hybrid logo on the tailgate. It also comes with automatic headlights, Guide Me Light, electrically foldable mirrors, a 10-inch central touchscreen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and cruise control.

Recently, Suzuki has discontinued two models in the Vietnamese market: the Ertiga Hybrid and the Ciaz. Currently, the XL7 Hybrid is the flagship model of this Japanese brand.
