Tasco Auto has recently announced the distribution of the Zeekr brand in the Vietnamese market.
According to sources, Zeekr is likely to choose the 009 minivan as the first model to introduce to the Vietnamese market. The car is expected to be distributed in Vietnam through imports, with local assembly to be considered in the future.
The Zeekr 009 is positioned as a large MPV/minivan from the Chinese automaker. It is developed based on the Volvo EM90 platform, with dimensions of 5,217 x 2,024 x 1,812 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 3,205 mm.
The front of the car impresses with a closed grille forming a waterfall-style design, accompanied by U-shaped headlights. Zeekr 009 is the world’s first MPV equipped with an intelligent grille, capable of altering its design based on different scenarios.
In its latest mid-life upgrade, the vehicle is also fitted with a LiDAR sensor mounted on the roof.
At the rear, the Zeekr 009 2024 features a full-width taillight with 402 LEDs and the ZEEKR logo in the center. The high-mounted brake light and roof spoiler add a sporty touch to the vehicle.
Inside the cabin, the Zeekr 009 2024 offers not only the standard 2+2+2 seating configuration or the ultra-luxurious 4-seat Grand version but also a 7-seat option in its latest mid-life upgrade.
The vehicle’s cockpit maintains the traditional T-shaped layout, featuring a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The front infotainment screen has been upgraded to a 15.05-inch OLED display with 2.5K resolution. The roof-mounted screen for rear passengers has also been updated to a 17-inch OLED panel with 3K resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Both screens are integrated with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, enabling advanced AI features. This technology predicts user needs based on their habits.
The vehicle offers 12-way power-adjustable front passenger seats with massage functionality. Each seat is equipped with Yamaha headrest speakers. Additionally, the Zeekr 009 2024 comes with other convenient features such as mobile app control, OTA updates, facial recognition, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and a control panel for the second-row seats on the electric sliding door.
In its home market of China, the Zeekr 009 2024 is offered with two engine options. The first is an electric motor producing 416 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque, paired with front-wheel drive. This setup enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 230 km/h.
The second option is a dual-motor setup, delivering 778 horsepower and 810 Nm of torque. Combined with an all-wheel-drive system, it propels the car from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, while the top speed remains at 230 km/h.
Both engine variants are equipped with nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) 108 kWh batteries, supporting fast charging. The batteries can be charged from 10-80% in just 11.5 minutes, thanks to their 800V architecture, known as 5C charging, where “C” indicates the number of times the battery can be charged in an hour.
When fully charged, the single-motor version offers a range of up to 740 km according to the CLTC standard, while the dual-motor version provides a range of 702 km. An optional 140 kWh battery increases the range to 900 km but switches to a 400V high-voltage system instead of the standard 800V.
The pricing of this minivan for the Vietnamese market is yet to be announced. In China, the Zeekr 009 2024 is priced between 439,000 and 469,000 Chinese yuan (approximately 1.529 billion to 1.633 billion VND).
