As of September 2024, domestically produced and assembled car models have officially been granted a 50% registration fee support by the government. This has prompted car brands importing vehicles to step up their promotions to remain competitive. Volkswagen is a prime example of this.
On September 10, 2024, the German brand officially announced a new incentive program for its three imported SUV models: the Teramont, Teramont X, and Touareg. This program will be effective from now until September 30, 2024, at Volkswagen dealerships nationwide.
Specifically, the Volkswagen Teramont, originally priced at 2.499 billion VND, is now offered at a discounted price of 1.998 billion VND, a reduction of 501 million VND.
For the Volkswagen Teramont X, the brand is offering a 50% discount on the registration fee, amounting to approximately 100 million VND for the Luxury standard version and 108 million VND for the Platinum high-end version. Additionally, this model is now equipped with a new electrically adjustable running board, similar to the Volkswagen Teramont Limited Edition.
Lastly, the Volkswagen Touareg offers a 50% discount on the registration fee for both the Elegance and Luxury versions. The value of these discounts is 135 million and 155 million VND, respectively. On top of that, the car also comes with an additional year of physical insurance worth 35-40 million VND. In other words, the total discount for this model will range from 170 to 195 million VND, depending on the version chosen.
