Just 2 days left until the Gumball 3000 2024 supercar rally officially kicks off in Ho Chi Minh City.
As the event draws near, the Ferrari showroom in Ho Chi Minh City has displayed a series of cars owned by the “coffee king” for everyone to admire.
Notably, among the Ferrari lineup, the F355 Spider is no longer on the “bench” and has officially been included in the Gumball 3000 2024 event.
Imported to Vietnam in 2019 but only joining the “Qua” Vu’s collection in 2022, the F355 Spider is considered one of the oldest Ferraris in the country.
Under the hood of the Ferrari 355 F1 Spider is a naturally aspirated 3.5L V8 engine that produces 375 horsepower at 8,250 rpm and 363 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. Combined with rear-wheel drive, the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 295 km/h.
Alongside the F355 F1 Spider, the Ferrari 458 Speciale also attracted attention at the Gumball 3000 2024 event this year. It is known to be the only Ferrari 458 Speciale in Vietnam.
Imported to Vietnam in 2016 and having only two owners, the car was initially owned by Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu. It was then sold to a real estate mogul in Saigon for display. In 2022, “Qua” Vu brought the supercar back to his garage.
The Ferrari 458 Speciale is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.5L V8 engine that generates 605 horsepower and a maximum torque of 540 Nm. This enables the supercar to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 325 km/h.
Joining its “siblings” is the Ferrari Roma, which also secured a spot in the Gumball 3000 2024 event. It is the second Ferrari Roma to arrive in Vietnam. Originally, the car boasted the traditional Rosso Corsa red exterior color of the brand. However, after joining the collection of the Chairman of Trung Nguyen Coffee, the Italian supercar was repainted silver with the distinctive “UN” initials on its body.
The “heart” of the Ferrari Roma is a 3.9L V8 turbocharged engine that delivers a maximum power of 612 horsepower and a peak torque of 760 Nm. Coupled with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, the Italian masterpiece can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 320 km/h.
The second Ferrari 430 Scuderia in Vietnam is also being serviced and prepared to join the Gumball 3000, the world’s largest supercar rally.
This supercar is equipped with a 4.3-liter V8 engine that produces 503 horsepower and a maximum torque of 471 Nm at 5,250 rpm. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 319 km/h.
Also joining the Trung Nguyen team at Gumball 3000 is the Ferrari 458 Spider. Originally featuring a bright red exterior, it has been repainted silver by the “coffee king,” one of his four favorite colors. This is one of the three rare 458 Spiders in Vietnam.
The Ferrari 458 Spider is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 engine that delivers 562 horsepower and a maximum torque of 540 Nm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, enabling the supercar to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 320 km/h.
It is known that the Chairman of Trung Nguyen Coffee will showcase 18 supercars at the rally, including 15 Ferraris, as well as 3 Bugattis, a Ford GT, and a Ford GT ’67 Heritage Edition.
