GSM Joint Stock Company for Green and Smart Mobility and Mekong Green Commercial Joint Stock Company sign a memorandum of understanding on establishing a large-scale leading car maintenance and repair workshop chain in Vietnam.
On the occasion of the cooperation to establish a new brand, GSM also decided to donate VND 5.5 billion to support people affected by Storm Yagi.
According to the agreement, the two parties will cooperate to establish a new joint venture with the brand name “MeKong Xanh SM” to build and operate a nationwide chain of car maintenance and repair workshops. The workshops will provide maintenance and repair services for both gasoline and electric vehicles of Xanh SM, Mai Linh, franchise partners, and individual partners participating in the Xanh SM Platform, as well as all VinFast-branded vehicles nationwide.
Leaders of GSM and Mekong Green (Mai Linh Group) at the signing ceremony
In the first phase, GSM and Mekong Green will convert 39 existing Mekong Green workshops to the new brand, “MeKong Xanh SM,” and operate under a new model. By the end of 2025, the two parties plan to open 60 new workshops nationwide, bringing the total number to 99. This will make “MeKong Xanh SM” one of the largest car repair workshop systems in Vietnam. Notably, these 99 workshops will join the existing network of VinFast workshops (over 80) across the country, providing quick and convenient maintenance and repair services to customers.
Mr. Ho Huy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mai Linh Group, shared, “With its advantages and development potential, Mekong Green will share its extensive experience and expertise in the field of car maintenance and repair. At the same time, we will also leverage GSM’s technological strengths to maximize our combined capabilities and bring mutual benefits.”
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, CEO of GSM Global, stated, “GSM and Mekong Green will collaborate by sharing high-quality products and techniques to continue providing reliable services to the employees and partners of the two companies and expanding to the wider community of drivers nationwide. Well-maintained good vehicles not only ensure the safety of drivers but also offer an optimal experience for customers using the companies’ services.”
The cooperation agreement between Mekong Green and GSM aims to build a community of drivers and promote civilized and convenient transportation.
Mekong Green is a part of the Mai Linh Group ecosystem. It is the exclusive warranty and maintenance center for the entire Mai Linh taxi system and also specializes in providing equipment, supplies, and car maintenance and repair services to any customers in need.
On the other hand, GSM has, in over a year since its establishment, inspired more than 40 businesses, including taxi companies and transport enterprises, to partner and franchise electric taxi operations in many localities. Up to now, Xanh SM and its partners have introduced electric vehicles in 55 provinces and cities, aiming to “green” Vietnam and make electric mobility a familiar and eco-friendly choice for the community.
The cooperation agreement between Mekong Green and GSM to establish a nationwide network of car maintenance and repair workshops is an effort by the two Vietnamese enterprises to best support drivers and domestic taxi companies, thereby building a community of civilized and convenient drivers and transportation.
