Nissan recently released a thrilling promotional video for their Nissan Qashqai model.

The video showcases the Nissan Qashqai achieving a Guinness World Record as the highest bungee-jumping Japanese car. The car took a plunge from a 65-meter-high crane (equivalent to a 20-story building with each story measuring 3 meters high).

Preparing for this stunning bungee jump required meticulous planning and execution. The car was placed inside a specially designed steel cage to secure the vehicle and ensure the safety of professional driver Laurent Lasko.

While it set a Guinness World Record, this was not the highest bungee jump by a car. In 1992, a GMC Jimmy achieved a higher jump from the New River Gorge Bridge, plunging 263.7 meters to the river below.

However, the GMC Jimmy’s feat was not witnessed by Guinness officials and thus wasn’t recognized as a world record.

This bungee jump is just the beginning of Nissan’s promotional campaign for their new hybrid SUV, the Nissan Qashqai, targeting European customers. The Japanese automaker plans to reveal more exciting details about this SUV soon.
