The Gumball 3000 2024 event in Ho Chi Minh City features over 100 supercars and sports cars, including many rare and unique models from around the world.
This is the first time that the Gumball 3000 2024, the world’s largest supercar rally, has been held in Southeast Asia, passing through 5 countries: Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. This year’s event also marks the 25th anniversary (1999 – 2024) of Gumball 3000.
On September 14th, the highly anticipated Gumball Grid 3000 opening ceremony took place on Le Loi, a central street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. The event, dubbed the “most expensive supercar showcase on the planet,” featured 120 supercars and rare and exclusive sports cars from around the world.
This year’s Gumball 3000 rally has cut back on outdoor music and entertainment. Instead, the organizers have launched a charity fundraising activity to support Vietnam in its post-disaster recovery efforts after the recent floods. This fundraising campaign is open to Gumball 3000 participants and anyone around the world who wishes to contribute. The program is expected to run from September 14th to September 23rd, 2024. According to the organizers, the donated funds will be handed over to the Fatherland Front of District 1.
This year’s supercar showcase features 100 supercars, hypercars, sports cars, JDM cars, modified cars, and classics. In addition, there are 20 cars from Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu, the Chairman of Trung Nguyen Coffee. These exquisite vehicles represent brands such as Bugatti, Koenigsegg, Lamborghini, McLaren, Rolls-Royce, and Porsche. Among them are cars that are not just symbols of cutting-edge technology and design but also unique works of art rarely seen globally.
