A Ferrari 488 Pista Spider garnered special attention at Gumball 3000 2024 with its unique body kit attached to the car with duct tape.

The Gumball 3000 2024 event, starting in Ho Chi Minh City, gathered over 100 supercars and sports cars, including rare and unique models from around the world.

This is the first time that the world’s largest supercar event, Gumball 3000 2024, has been held in Southeast Asia, passing through 5 countries: Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. This year’s event also marks the 25th anniversary (1999-2024) of the festival dedicated to enthusiasts of sports cars. In addition, in the face of the devastation caused by Typhoon Yagi, the organizers of Gumball 3000 announced that they would be organizing fundraising campaigns to support the people of the northern provinces in overcoming post-flood difficulties.

One of the most special cars at this year’s event was the Ferrari 488 Pista Spider with the number 10. The super car’s body kit was fixed with duct tape, arousing the curiosity of many participants. It is known that this supercar is owned by POG, a famous French Youtuber.

The Ferrari 488 Pista Spider features a new front bumper insert, fake air vents on the hood, a rear wing, and rear air vents. In addition, the owner has replaced all Ferrari logos with Peugeot’s lion logo. The inspiration for this modification is the Peugeot 406 from the classic movie Taxi released in 1998. In the movie, the French sedan could transform into a sports car with front bumper inserts, a rear wing, and air vents…

Ferrari 488 Pista Spider is equipped with a mid-mounted 3.9-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, producing 710 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and maximum torque of 770 Nm at 3,000 rpm. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 2.85 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 340 km/h.

In the used car market, the Ferrari 488 Pista Spider has an average price of around $480,000. In Vietnam, there is at least 1 Ferrari 488 Pista and 3 Ferrari 488 Pista Spiders. One of these cars also appeared at this year’s Gumball event and belongs to the coffee tycoon Dang Le Nguyen Vu.
