Nissan recently released a thrilling promotional video for their Nissan Qashqai model.

In the video, the Nissan Qashqai sets a Guinness World Record as the highest bungee-jumping Japanese car, plunging from a 65-meter-high crane (equivalent to a 20-story building with each floor measuring 3 meters high).

To create this stunning bungee jump for the Nissan Qashqai, the preparation process was equally intricate. The car was placed in a specially designed steel cage when lifted to such heights, ensuring both the vehicle’s stability and the safety of its driver, racing pro Laurent Lasko.

While it earned a Guinness World Record, this jump wasn’t the highest. Back in 1992, a GMC Jimmy SUV set a promotional record by bungee jumping from the New River Gorge Bridge, plummeting 263.7 meters to the river below.

However, as no Guinness official was present during that attempt, it wasn’t recognized as a world record.

This bungee jump marks the beginning of Nissan’s promotional campaign for their hybrid SUV, the Nissan Qashqai, targeting European customers. The Japanese automaker plans to reveal more exciting details about this new SUV soon.
