A severe accident occurred at the recent Turin Motor Show, held from September 13-15, resulting in 12 injuries.

During the rally, a white Lancia Rally 037 that was slowly cruising with the procession suddenly accelerated, crashed through a barrier, and plowed into the crowd.

The collision injured 12 people, with the most severe case being a woman who suffered a broken leg. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.

The Lancia Rally 037 involved in the accident was a genuine racing car. It was produced between 1982 and 1984, with an estimated production run of 207 to 222 units.

This Lancia Rally 037 model has achieved impressive international racing successes with drivers Walter Röhrl (German) and Markku Alén (Finnish) behind the wheel.
