Kia Confirms Development of a Range of New Electric Vehicles
The upcoming electric vehicles from Kia will span multiple segments and price ranges, starting from below €20,000 (VND 548.9 million) and going up to approximately €30,000 (VND 823.3 million).
The most affordable offering will be the electric version of the Kia Morning, marketed as the EV1 to align with their existing EV lineup, including the EV3, EV6, and EV9.
The Kia EV1 is expected to make its global debut in 2027. Preceding this launch, Kia will unveil the EV2 in 2026, a hatchback positioned in the B-segment.
Interestingly, each new electric vehicle in the lineup will offer a GT performance variant.
Kia also shared its plans to develop a high-performance electric vehicle, aiming to capture the spirit of the Stinger.
All these new electric vehicles from Kia will be based on the E-GMP platform, similar to the EV6 and EV9. This platform enables high-performance applications with dual electric motors and supports fast charging.
In addition to passenger vehicles, Kia is also finalizing its lineup of commercial electric vehicles, from the PV1 to PV7, which are set to be introduced starting next year.
