AION is set to launch three electric vehicles in Vietnam in the fourth quarter of 2024, including the Y Plus, ES, and Hyptec HT models.
Notably, the Hyptec HT, also known as the AION Hyper HT, is considered the highest-performance electric vehicle with the most unique design among the three AION vehicles set to debut in the Vietnamese market.
According to the announcement, the AION Hyptec HT has overall dimensions of 4,935 x 1,920 x 1,700 mm (length x width x height), with a wheelbase of 2,935 mm. With these dimensions, the Hyper HT will be positioned between the VinFast VF 8 and VF 9.
The vehicle’s exterior shares many similarities with the Tesla Model X. The most striking feature in the design of the AION Hyptec HT is its gull-wing-style rear doors, which open and close automatically. The vehicle also boasts other notable features such as Wind Blade grilles, Diamond Cut headlights, Horizon taillights, frameless door windows, 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels, a full-glass roof, and a front mudguard camera.
In terms of interior, the layout of the AION Hyptec HT’s cabin borrows heavily from Tesla. It is equipped with a large 14.6-inch central touchscreen and an 8.8-inch secondary screen behind the steering wheel.Â
The center armrest is designed to be floating, providing a large storage space and two wireless chargers. The seats are integrated with massage and heating functions, while the rear seats can recline up to 143 degrees and come with armrests and a work table, resembling “presidential” chairs.
In the Chinese market, the AION Hyptec HT offers two engine options. The standard version is equipped with an electric motor that produces 245 horsepower and 355 Nm of torque.Â
Meanwhile, the higher-end version features a more powerful electric motor capable of delivering approximately 340 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque. This variant has a range of up to 770 km on a single charge, allowing users to drive from Hanoi to Danang without needing to recharge.
