GAC Aion has recently unveiled the first images of its upcoming electric vehicle, the Aion RT.
The Aion RT boasts impressive dimensions with a length of 4,865 mm, a width of 1,875 mm, a height of 1,520 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,775 mm.
Based on the shared images, the Aion RT sports a fastback design with a sleek, elongated roofline. The front of the car features a closed-grille design, complemented by slim headlights that bear a resemblance to the Tesla Model 3.
Depending on the trim level, the car will offer 17-inch or 18-inch alloy wheels with distinct designs. At the rear, the Aion RT showcases sleek taillights that span across the width of the car, with the AION branding elegantly connecting the two light clusters.
Step inside, and you’ll find a minimalist cabin dominated by beige and black hues. The dashboard features a large, freestanding infotainment screen, a two-spoke steering wheel with integrated controls, cup holders, and a center armrest for rear passengers.
Under the hood, the GAC Aion RT is offered with two electric motor options, producing 201 and 221 horsepower, respectively. The motors are paired with a Lithium-iron Phosphate battery from CATL, delivering an impressive range of up to 650 kilometers on a single charge. The car can be charged from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes, and this time can be reduced to 18 minutes with Silicon Carbide 400 V technology.
The Aion RT is scheduled to go on sale in China starting October 26th. Pricing and detailed specifications are yet to be announced by the manufacturer.
