A recent offer from a Ho Chi Minh City-based dealer has seen a significant discount of up to VND 500 million on the Volkswagen Teramont, with only a limited number of units available. As a result, the post-discount price of the Volkswagen Teramont stands at an attractive VND 1.998 billion.

Despite the substantial discount, the actual selling price of the Volkswagen Teramont remains considerably higher than that of its competitor, the Hyundai Palisade, which is currently priced from VND 1.469 billion to VND 1.589 billion.

The Teramont is being offered with deep discounts by select dealers during this period as they clear inventory to make way for the new model expected to arrive in Vietnam towards the end of this year.

The current version of the Volkswagen Teramont is a full-size 7-seater SUV imported from the USA, built on the renowned MQB platform from the Volkswagen Group. It is also the largest SUV built on this platform.

The Volkswagen Teramont impresses with its modern design and an array of advanced technological features, including a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support for the Vietnamese voice assistant Kiki, tri-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, and ambient lighting, to name a few.

In terms of safety, the Teramont is equipped with an extensive suite of driver-assistance features, including a rearview camera, electronic stability control, parking distance control, electronic differential lock, traction control, acceleration slip regulation, cruise control, hill start assist, hill descent control, parking brake assist, and six airbags.

Under the hood, the Volkswagen Teramont in Vietnam is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 220 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. The manufacturer claims a combined fuel consumption figure of just over 10 liters per 100 kilometers.

According to sources, the new version of the Volkswagen Teramont will be imported into Vietnam from China, similar to the Teramont X, rather than the USA, which is the source market for the current model.

It is likely that the Teramont 2024 imported from China will be equipped with the same engine as the Teramont X, a 2.0-liter unit producing 217 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive.
