According to an exclusive report by Drive, the Ford Ranger pickup and Ford Everest mid-size SUV will soon be getting a mid-life refresh. The facelifted models are expected to arrive at Ford dealerships in Australia in 2026, or as early as late next year.
In addition, Drive revealed that the current-generation Ford Ranger and Ford Everest are likely to be discontinued in 2029 or 2030. If this information is accurate, the current generation of the Ford Ranger will have a shorter lifespan of only seven years, compared to the 11-year lifespan of its predecessor.
At the moment, details about the facelifted Ford Ranger and Ford Everest remain scarce, and Drive has not yet obtained any images of the updated models.
The Ford Ranger, a mid-size pickup, has already undergone two facelifts in 2015 and 2018, with changes ranging from subtle exterior and interior updates to new engine options and technology features.
Drive notes that the images in this article, created by YouTuber Theottle, are speculative and based on what we might see in the next-generation Ford F-150, the Ranger’s larger sibling.

According to documents obtained by Drive, the refreshed Ranger and Everest are coded as MY2026, indicating that the first vehicles will only reach the Australian market in 2026 or the last quarter of next year at the earliest.
The mid-size pickup segment is heating up, with the upcoming new generations of the Toyota Hilux and Nissan Navara expected within the next two years, as well as the potential entry of an electric pickup from LDV.
Interestingly, Drive also revealed that a plug-in hybrid variant of the Ford Ranger will be available at Ford showrooms in early 2025, featuring the same exterior and interior as the current generation.
The next-generation Ford Ranger is expected to share a new body-on-frame platform with the Ford F-150, which is also due for a new generation around 2030.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that the Ford Ranger production line in the US, which serves the North American market, will cease operations in April 2031.
