The Gumball 3000 2024 supercar rally featured two Rolls-Royce Wraiths, one in white and the other uniquely modified just before the start of the world’s largest supercar event.

Among the 100 other cars participating in the 25th Gumball 3000, which was also the first time the event was held in ASEAN, this blacked-out Rolls-Royce Wraith from two team members in Ukraine stood out with its impressive array of LED auxiliary lights and an unusual body kit.

Let’s start with the backstory of this bespoke coupe. With its license plate indicating Dubai, and its team members hailing from Ukraine, the Rolls-Royce Wraith sports a sleek matte black exterior, although it’s unclear if it’s a wrap or the car’s original color.

Typically chrome or silver-painted details like the rims, grille, headlight and taillight trims, and window trims have all been painted black, except for the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament. The hood features a darker shade of black compared to the rest of the body. Now, let’s move on to the modifications.

The most striking modification is the addition of eight yellow LED auxiliary lights, providing incredible illumination for night driving or navigating through fog. The owner has also repainted the headlight housings yellow to match.

A large carbon fiber front splitter has been added, secured by two struts attached to the license plate frame, giving the front end of this Rolls-Royce Wraith a distinct look compared to the stock model at Gumball 3000.

The team has also fitted the car with a wide-body kit, adding black fender flares secured with rivets, giving the car a much wider stance. The original dimensions of the Rolls-Royce Wraith are already substantial, with a length of 5,268 mm, a width of 1,947 mm, and a height of 1,507 mm. Despite its coupe design, it has a wheelbase of 3,112 mm, providing a spacious and comfortable interior for its occupants.

Introduced in 2013, the Rolls-Royce Wraith is a powerful coupe based on the Rolls-Royce Ghost. Designed in the Grand Touring style, it caters to owners who enjoy both high-speed cruising and smooth city driving. Both cars participating in the rally belong to the Series II generation, featuring updated designs, most notably in the headlights.

And the Matte Black One

The interior of the Rolls-Royce Wraith features a 2+2 seating configuration, with ample legroom for adults under 1.7 meters tall in the back seats. Its unique coach doors not only add character to the car but also make entering and exiting the vehicle a breeze for both front and rear passengers.

Closing these distinctive doors is easy, as they can be pushed shut like regular doors, but there’s also a convenient door-closing button for added refinement. Inside, the cabin is adorned with premium leather and rare wood trim, befitting a car of this caliber.

Under the hood, the Rolls-Royce Wraith is powered by a 6.6-liter V12 engine that produces 623 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 800 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 5,500 rpm. Coupled with an 8-speed automatic ZF transmission, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h.
