According to some sources, VinFast delivered approximately 2,200 vehicles to customers last August.

Accordingly, the VF 5 remains the Vietnamese automaker’s flagship model, with sales reaching around 2,200 units. Although sales decreased by 14% compared to the previous month, this decline is in line with the overall market trend during the Ghost Month.

Cumulatively, VinFast has delivered approximately 17,800 VF 5s to consumers so far this year.

In contrast, its competitor in the A+ CUV segment, the Kia Sonet, recorded cumulative sales of only 4,341 units for the first eight months of 2024, while the Toyota Raize and Hyundai Venue achieved 2,656 and 2,102 units, respectively.

The VF 5 used to be VinFast’s most affordable electric vehicle before the launch of the VF 3. It is priced at 468 million VND without a battery and 559 million VND with a battery and charger. At this time, car buyers will be exempt from registration fees and will be able to charge for free at VinFast charging stations for almost a year.

The VF 5 is powered by an electric motor that delivers 100 kW (134 hp) and a maximum torque of 135 Nm. Its lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 37.23 kWh, offering a range of 300 km on a single charge.
