In a move that has shaken up the Vietnamese automotive market, MG dealers have recently announced an enticing promotion for the MG7 D-segment sedan, just a month after its launch in the country.

A Hanoi-based dealer is offering discounts of up to 510 million VND for customers purchasing the MG7 1.5T Luxury model at this time. After the discount, the price of the MG7 1.5T Luxury stands at just 688 million VND. Buyers of the 2.0T Premium version are also entitled to a substantial discount of 60 million VND, bringing the price down to 958 million VND.

With this promotion, the D-segment sedan MG7 is now priced competitively against C-segment vehicles such as the Mazda3 1.5L Premium (699 million VND) and the Hyundai Elantra 2.0 AT Cao Cap (699 million VND).

The MG7 is the fourth model introduced by the MG brand in Vietnam. It boasts impressive dimensions with a length of 4,884 mm, a width of 1,889 mm, a height of 1,447 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,778 mm.

The MG7 showcases a sporty, muscular, and modern design aesthetic. The front of the vehicle features sharp triangular LED headlights with dual LED strips, complemented by side air intakes that enhance its athletic stance. Depending on the configuration, the MG7 is fitted with either 18-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels, paired with 225/50 or 245/40 tires.

The rear of the vehicle is characterized by sleek LED taillights that stretch across the width of the car, a subtle rear spoiler integrated into the trunk lid, and four oval exhaust pipes symmetrically positioned on either side. The top-tier trim boasts additional features such as black logos on the sides, an active rear spoiler, and an exclusive British Green exterior color option.

Step inside the MG7, and you’ll find a spacious 5-seater cabin that rivals the opulence of German luxury cars. The interior is highlighted by a full-LCD instrument cluster measuring 10.25 inches, a prominent 12.3-inch central control display, and a head-up display.

This D-segment sedan also comes equipped with a host of comfort features, including dual-zone automatic climate control and a PM2.5 air filtration system that ensures a constant supply of clean, fresh air. A panoramic sunroof enhances the sense of space and allows occupants to enjoy the outdoors during their journeys.

Additional conveniences include wireless charging for front passengers, a 2-position memory function for the power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a “Super Sport” button on the steering wheel. The MG7 also offers a power trunk with 60:40 split-folding rear seats, providing versatility for various cargo needs.

Under the hood, the MG7 base model is powered by a turbocharged 1.5L engine that generates 167 horsepower and 275 Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed ZF dual-clutch transmission.

In contrast, the two higher-spec variants are fitted with a turbocharged 2.0L engine, producing an impressive 227 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.

When it comes to safety, the MG7 excels with its ADAS driver-assistance package. This suite of technologies includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, emergency lane keeping, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, and a 360-degree camera system.
