According to dealer sources, the starting price for BYD’s new MPV is set at 289,800 RMB (approximately 1 billion VND) with the top-end trim level reaching 350,000 RMB (1.22 billion VND). This is significantly more affordable when compared to its larger sibling, the Denza D9, which is priced between 339,800 and 600,600 RMB (1.18 – 2.1 billion VND). If introduced in the Vietnamese market, the BYD Xia would compete directly with the Kia Carnival, GAC M8, and Peugeot Traveller.

The BYD Xia boasts impressive dimensions, measuring 5,145 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width, and 1,805 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,045 mm. In comparison to the Denza D9, it is 105 mm shorter, 10 mm wider, and 115 mm lower. The vehicle offers a spacious 7-seat interior configuration with a 2 + 2 + 3 layout.

BYD Xia will feature the advanced DiPilot driver-assistance system. This MPV also incorporates BYD’s intelligent DiSus-C chassis control technology, allowing for adjustable suspension stiffness based on driving conditions. This technology is also found in other BYD models such as the Tang and Han. The brand’s most premium offerings, such as the Yangwang U8 and Denza N7, are equipped with the more advanced DiSus-P system.

In terms of powertrain, the BYD Xia employs a hybrid system combining the BYD472ZQB 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a maximum output of 115 kW (154 hp) and a potent 268 hp electric motor. The setup is complemented by a 36.628 kWh LFP battery pack, offering an all-electric range of approximately 145 km (based on CLTC standards).
