On September 14, 2024, the Gumball 3000 2024 supercar rally officially kicked off with the first leg involving members moving their vehicles from a storage facility in Di An, Binh Duong Province, to Le Loi Avenue in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Despite the seemingly simple task, it took almost an entire day to transport over 100 cars to the assembly area.

At exactly 11 am on September 15, the convoy set off, and by the evening of September 21, 2024, they had reached Singapore, marking the official end of the world’s largest supercar rally, Gumball 3000, for the year 2024. This was the 25th time the event had taken place.

As soon as the convoy reached the assembly point in Singapore, they were greeted by thousands of locals and young enthusiasts from Asean who had gathered to witness the Gumball 3000 rally and the Formula 1 festival.

It will be a long time, if ever, before the Gumball 3000 supercar rally is organized again in Asean, as the event organizers prefer to avoid repetition and keep things exciting.

Over the course of 8 days, the Gumball 3000 2024 supercar convoy successfully completed a 3,000-mile journey, encountering a few minor incidents and fender benders along the way. The participants had memorable experiences in each country, such as visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels in Vietnam, where they were greeted by tens of thousands of locals and nearly 20 supercars from Dang Le Nguyen Vu.

In Cambodia, they explored the ancient temple complex of Angkor Wat, the world’s largest religious monument, spanning 162.6 hectares (1,626,000 square meters). The longest leg of the journey was in Thailand, where it took the convoy over 11 hours to drive from Bangkok to Krabi. In Malaysia, they experienced the beautiful roads and the Sepang racetrack, and finally, in Singapore, they joined the Formula 1 festival.
