The rare sight of a purple-clad Ferrari LaFerrari, a million-dollar supercar, stranded on a tow truck outside the Ferrari dealership in Singapore, has piqued the interest of car enthusiasts in Singapore and Malaysia alike. This particular LaFerrari belongs to Tunku Ismail Idris, a Malaysian prince, and its appearance has caused quite a stir.

Tunku Ismail Idris is an avid car collector, with almost ten hypercars and megacars in his garage. However, it was a surprise to many that one of the crown jewels of his collection is this purple LaFerrari. First spotted in 2016, the car has made very few public appearances since then.

Three years ago, this very same purple LaFerrari was spotted at the Ferrari dealership in Singapore, alongside another rare beauty, the Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta. While the color remained the same, a “Left-Hand Drive” sticker hinted at a difference in the steering wheel placement—a unique feature for a region where right-hand drive cars are the norm.

In addition to the purple LaFerrari and the white LaFerrari Aperta, the prince of Johor also owns a black Ferrari Monza SP2, another seven-figure supercar.

The Ferrari LaFerrari is an extremely exclusive model, with a price tag of $1.3 million at its launch. Nowadays, a used LaFerrari rarely goes for less than $2.65 million, and dealerships often list them for over $3.1 million.

Powered by a hybrid V12 engine with a total output of 950 horsepower, the LaFerrari accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and has a top speed of 217 mph, making it one of the fastest and most sought-after supercars in the world.
