Volkswagen Vietnam has recently revealed that its upcoming new model will be a perfect combination of the agile SUV and the premium MPV, without specifying the name. However, the three released images suggest that it is the upgraded Volkswagen Teramont.
The launch date of the 2024 Volkswagen Teramont in Vietnam is set for October 11, 2024. Customers can now pre-order the mid-life upgraded Volkswagen Teramont with a deposit of VND 100 million, and the price will be revealed on the launch day.
The mid-life upgraded Volkswagen Teramont will be the only SUV in its segment with business-class seats, and this is also the ace up its sleeve to attract customers who desire a 7-seat SUV with MPV-like business-class seats.
Notably, the soon-to-be-sold-in-Vietnam Volkswagen Teramont 2024 will be imported from China, unlike the previous models from the US market. Thus, there will be noticeable differences in the exterior, including the front bumper, grille, headlights, wheels, exhaust tips, and rear bumper, as well as taillights.

However, the interior of the Volkswagen Teramont in China and the US remains largely similar. It features a 12-inch floating screen instead of the integrated one found in the current models sold domestically. The instrument cluster measures 10.25 inches, and the car has a new, aesthetically pleasing electronic gear lever.
The soon-to-be-launched-in-Vietnam upgraded Volkswagen Teramont will be equipped with a range of technological features, including the IQ.DRIVE package, IQ. LIGHT LED Matrix, and the MQB evo platform.
In terms of performance, the 2024 Volkswagen Teramont is likely to be powered by the same engine as the Volkswagen Teramont X, a 2.0L TSI Turbo four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 220 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque.
The engine of the soon-to-be-launched Volkswagen Teramont 2024 in Vietnam is expected to be paired with a new generation DSG transmission and 4Motion all-wheel drive, along with Servotronic variable electric power steering.
