Nearly three years after its debut in China, the Ford Equator Sport, known as the Ford Territory in Vietnam, has officially received a mid-life facelift.
This update sees the American-branded CUV sporting a more impressive design, along with enhanced interior equipment. The 2025 Territory will also offer a PHEV engine option in the near future.
In terms of dimensions, the new Ford Territory measures 4,685mm in length (a 55mm increase compared to its predecessor), while all other specifications, including width, height, and wheelbase, remain unchanged. The design changes on this CUV are focused on the front end, featuring a smaller honeycomb-patterned grille. The main headlights are now positioned above, connected to the turn signals, rather than being separate as in the previous version. Additionally, the front bumper and side air vents have been redesigned for a sharper look.
At the rear, the taillights remain unchanged, but the bumper has been refined for a simpler and neater appearance. The CUV also offers a range of new alloy wheel designs and two new paint colors: Wilderness Green and Cactus Grey.
Despite speculations that the Territory would feature a dual 27-inch screen setup like the Explorer, Ford ultimately decided to retain the 12.3-inch screen in this model. However, the vehicle has been upgraded with a premium 10-speaker audio system.
The 2025 Ford Territory is powered by a 1.5-liter EcoBoost turbocharged engine, delivering 168 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. The front wheels are driven through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Ford will soon introduce a plug-in hybrid variant, offering a combined output of 215 horsepower, paired with a battery system supplied by CATL.
