**Honda Announces New Incentives for BR-V and HR-V Models in Vietnam**
As of October 1, 2024, Honda has introduced a new incentive program for its BR-V and HR-V car models in Vietnam. The company is offering a 50% reduction on registration fees for these imported vehicles throughout the month of October. Additionally, the BR-V model comes with a bonus gift of one year of auto body insurance.

New incentives for the imported duo Honda BR-V and HR-V in October 2024.
The registration fee incentive for the Honda BR-V amounts to a value of 33 million VND for the G version and 35 million VND for the L version. Meanwhile, for the Honda HR-V, customers can save an amount ranging from 35 to 43 million VND, depending on the version chosen.
Honda Vietnam’s incentive program is applicable to customers who sign a vehicle purchase agreement and complete a 100% payment between October 7 and October 31, 2024. The registration fee incentive will be based on a 10% rate.
To stay competitive with domestically assembled vehicles, Honda is offering a 50% support on the registration fee for the HR-V.
This promotion is identical to the one offered in September 2024. As these are fully imported vehicles, the Honda BR-V and HR-V do not qualify for the government’s 50% registration fee support policy. Consequently, Honda has initiated its own promotional campaign to maintain competitiveness in the MPV and B-segment SUV markets.
The Honda BR-V and HR-V have relatively stable sales performances in Vietnam, neither exceptionally high nor low. In August 2024, Honda sold 208 units of the BR-V, a 38.8% decrease compared to the previous month. During the same period, sales of the Honda HR-V totaled 213 units, a significant drop of 68.7%. These declines can be attributed to the influence of the seventh lunar month and consumers’ anticipation of reduced registration fees.
The cumulative sales for the first eight months of 2024 for the Honda BR-V reached 2,100 units. Meanwhile, the Honda HR-V recorded cumulative sales of 3,329 units, ranking fifth in the B-segment SUV category.
The Honda BR-V’s pricing is not particularly attractive in its segment.
A common trait of the two Honda models is their relatively high pricing within their respective segments. The Honda BR-V is priced from 661 to 705 million VND, while the HR-V ranges from 699 to 871 million VND. Additionally, as imported vehicles, their supply stability may not match that of locally assembled competitors.
However, the Honda duo also boasts notable strengths, including a strong brand, attractive designs, and the standard inclusion of the Honda Sensing active safety package across all versions. The driving experience of the Honda BR-V and HR-V is also highly regarded when compared to many rivals in the same class.
The Honda BR-V is powered by a 1.5L i-VTEC 4-cylinder DOHC gasoline engine that produces a maximum output of 119 horsepower and a peak torque of 145 Nm. This engine is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive.
On the other hand, the Honda HR-V offers two gasoline engine options. The standard version features a 1.5L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated engine with a maximum output of 119 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque. The remaining two versions are equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged engine that generates 174 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque.
