According to Carscoops, customers need not opt for luxury vehicles like the Cadillac Escalade or BMW 7-Series to enjoy armored protection. In Brazil, Toyota offers a range of vehicles with similar security features through special collaborations.
Specifically, Toyota Brazil has partnered with local armor specialists, including Avallon, Carbon, Evolution Blindagens, and Parvi Blindados, to provide armoring packages for new and pre-owned Toyota vehicles. Interested customers can contact Toyota dealerships in Brazil to have their vehicles, even pre-delivery, sent to the armoring company of their choice.
Currently, Toyota Brazil offers armoring for select models, including the Toyota Corolla, Corolla Cross, Hilux, and SW4 (known as the Fortuner in other markets). Pre-2020 models from these lines can also be retrofitted with armor, provided they undergo a Toyota evaluation process.

As per Carscoops, the companies reinforce the vehicle’s body with specialized compounds and thicker glass to enhance safety in the event of an attack. The armoring is reportedly capable of withstanding small arms fire, baseball bats, and metal pipes.
While the cost of armoring these Toyotas in Brazil has not been disclosed, the companies offer a 5-year warranty on the armoring and a 5- or 10-year warranty on materials, depending on the specific components.
The high levels of violence and crime in Brazil are cited by Carscoops as the primary reasons why many opt for armored vehicles, prioritizing their safety on the country’s roads.
Government data from Brazil shows a total of 40,429 homicides in the country in 2023, the lowest in 14 years.
