Hurricane Helene batters Florida, causing extensive damage to Kia New Port Richey dealership.
The storm has resulted in an estimated loss of over 600 Kia vehicles, with 500 new and 160 used cars affected. The damage is estimated to be between $28-30 million.
While most of the cars were damaged due to flooding, some also caught fire as a result of the hurricane. Additionally, many vehicles’ airbags deployed due to the impact.
In the aftermath, Kia promptly delivered 15 new vehicles to the Kia New Port Richey dealership to replace the lost cars. The company also plans to transfer an additional 300-400 new vehicles to ensure timely deliveries to customers.
