The 2024 Nissan Magnite SUV will receive a mid-life facelift with design changes, additional features, and improved safety technology.

The Nissan Magnite is a key SUV model for the Japanese brand in the Indian market, competing against formidable rivals such as the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Despite its long presence in India, the Magnite has not received any significant updates until now, while all its competitors have undergone respective upgrades.

In terms of design, most of the changes are focused on the front of the Japanese SUV. Accordingly, the 2024 Magnite features a wider and larger grille with more chrome and gloss black detailing compared to its predecessor. The LED headlights now incorporate LED daytime running lights in a sword-like style. The front also gains a more prominent silver-colored front skid plate with integrated fog lamps.

The 2024 Magnite bears a strong resemblance to its previous iteration when viewed from the side, except for the newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels. The rest remains unchanged, including chrome door handles, black OVRMs, silver roof rails, and silver accents on the doors. The positioning of the “Magnite” logo above the front fender is also retained.

At the rear, the 2024 Magnite sports revised LED taillights with a new honeycomb graphic design. Additionally, the taillights on both sides are now connected by a new chrome strip, creating a more striking appearance. Similar to the front, the rear bumper also gains a silver skid plate.

Inside the cabin, the most significant change in the 2024 Magnite is the new black and orange interior theme with hexagonal patterns throughout. The overall layout of the dashboard and center console remains unaltered, retaining the Lamborghini-inspired design. Nissan has also generously employed faux leather materials on the steering wheel, gear knob, dashboard trims, door panels, and brake handle for the Magnite 2024.

New features added to the 2024 Nissan Magnite include automatic headlights, auto-dimming IRVM with a frameless design, a new remote key, remote engine start with automatic AC activation, a Type-C port, an air ionizer, auto lock/unlock based on distance, and 4-color ambient lighting.

The rest of the equipment remains unchanged, including a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8-inch infotainment system supporting Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Depending on the variant, the Magnite can be equipped with an Arkamys sound system and a 360-degree camera.

In terms of safety, the SUV is equipped with six airbags as standard but does not offer any ADAS systems.

The Nissan Magnite is based on the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance’s CMF-A+ architecture. Under the hood, the Magnite is offered with two engine options: a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated or turbocharged gasoline engine, producing 71 hp and 99 hp, respectively. Both engines are paired with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. The naturally aspirated engine is also available with an optional EZ-Shift automatic gearbox, while the more powerful variant offers a CVT X-Tronic transmission. All variants of the Nissan Magnite are front-wheel drive.

In India, the 2024 Nissan Magnite is priced between 599,000 and 1,150,000 Rupees (~176 – 338 million VND).
