Making its global debut in late 2023, the all-new third-generation Porsche Panamera is now officially available in Vietnam.
Porsche Panamera exudes a captivatingly elegant identity through its distinctive Porsche DNA design language, seamlessly blending luxurious and sporty aesthetics, along with extensive personalization options that make the Panamera stand out in its segment.
Exterior and Interior: A Perfect Blend of Luxury and Sportiness
The new Panamera retains its iconic silhouette and proportions, measuring 5,052 mm in length, 1,937 mm in width, and 1,423 mm in height (Executive version: 1,428 mm). The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Executive variant boasts a longer wheelbase of 5,202 mm.
The exterior of the Panamera has been significantly enhanced, giving this luxury sports sedan a more muscular and dynamic appearance. The front end has been redesigned with robust contour lines and new headlights featuring the distinctive four-point LED daytime running light signature.
For the first time, the wheels with center locks come standard on the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid. Customers can also choose from a variety of wheel designs available across the entire Panamera range. At the rear, the familiar Panamera silhouette has been refined with a seamless rear window, harmonious body contours, and redesigned taillights, creating a sleek and integrated look.
Owners of the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid are now offered the Turbonite package, highlighted by contrasting details on the window trim, Turbo logo at the rear, Porsche crest on the hood, wheels, and various interior elements.
The interior of the new Panamera is more intuitive and connected than ever: The Porsche Driver Experience cockpit concept emphasizes the ideal balance between analog and digital technology, with optimally positioned controls along the driver’s line of sight.
The gear selector is conveniently located to the right of the steering wheel. The mode switch and support control are also within easy reach for the driver. This design allows for adjustments to be made without taking their eyes off the road.
An optional passenger display enhances the in-car experience. The 10.9-inch touchscreen displays vehicle data on demand and provides access to the infotainment system while on the move. To prevent driver distraction, the passenger display cannot be seen from the driver’s seat.
Performance: Pure Porsche DNA
The Panamera is now standard-equipped with a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine. Compared to its predecessor, optimizations in turbocharging, fuel injection, and ignition timing have enhanced the vehicle’s performance, delivering up to 260 kW (353 PS) and 500 Nm of torque—an increase of 17 kW (23 PS) and 50 Nm. This results in a faster acceleration time of 5.1 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and a top speed of 272 km/h.
The new Panamera GTS features a finely tuned chassis, an exclusive SportDesign package, and a premium, sporty interior. It is powered by a sequentially turbocharged V8 engine that has been comprehensively upgraded, contributing to an exhilarating and emotionally charged driving experience.
For the first time in Vietnam, Porsche is introducing the e-hybrid variants of the new Panamera range. Compared to the previous generation, all Panamera E-Hybrid models offer increased electric range, faster charging, improved throttle response, and superior driving performance in almost every aspect.
With a total rated capacity of 25.9 kWh, the new high-voltage battery provides approximately 45% more capacity within the same installation space. Additionally, the new integrated 11 kW AC charger reduces charging time to just 2 hours and 39 minutes. The new electric motor delivers a significant power boost compared to the previous e-hybrid model, producing 140 kW (190 PS) and 450 Nm of torque.
The new Panamera’s hybrid system is seamlessly integrated into the transmission space, optimizing weight distribution, and is also integrated into the PDK gearbox’s oil cooling system. The in-rotor design (rotor spinning inside the stator) reduces rotational inertia by up to 50%, enhancing throttle response. With energy recuperation of up to 88 kW, the electric motor significantly contributes to the extended electric range of the Panamera E-Hybrid models.
The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid standard version is exceptionally efficient and versatile, combining the new e-hybrid system with a significantly improved sequentially turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine, generating 224 kW (304 PS). As a result, the system delivers an impressive 346 kW (470 PS) and 650 Nm of torque, with a combined fuel consumption of 1.4–1.0 l/100 km in the WLTP cycle. The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid offers an increased electric range of 96 km in the WLTP cycle (EAER city) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds, reaching a top speed of 280 km/h.
The Panamera 4S E-Hybrid focuses on performance and continuous power delivery at high revs, producing a maximum output of 400 kW (544 PS) and 750 Nm of torque. This enables it to sprint from 0–100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 290 km/h.
The Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid is equipped with a brand new 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine and the hybrid system, delivering an impressive 500 kW (680 PS) and 930 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 315 km/h.
The new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is the most powerful model in the current collection. Its sequentially turbocharged V8 engine and electric motor produce a staggering 575 kW (782 PS), accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reaching a top speed of 325 km/h.
Comfort: Advanced Suspension System
The Panamera now comes standard with a new two-valve adaptive air suspension system, along with the optional Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), ensuring a perfect balance between comfort and sportiness. This system effectively reduces the impact of road surface irregularities while enhancing body stability during dynamic driving. The optional all-wheel-drive system further improves the vehicle’s handling capabilities.
Additionally, the advanced Porsche Active Ride Control is offered as an option on the e-hybrid variants of the new Panamera. This system delivers superior performance and provides an unprecedented balance between comfort and dynamics.
This technology is based on new active dampers—also featuring two-valve technology—with each valve connected to an electrically operated hydraulic pump. This enables the system to generate a volume flow within the damper as needed, allowing for extremely fast, precise, and targeted force build-up between the body and the wheels, counteracting and almost completely compensating for the forces acting on the suspension due to uneven road surfaces. This technology is further supported by a lightweight one-chamber air suspension system.
Thanks to this innovation, the Panamera’s suspension can maintain body balance even during sudden braking, steering, and acceleration maneuvers. When driving on smooth roads, the system absorbs almost all impact forces. In challenging terrain, Porsche Active Ride ensures optimal wheel contact by evenly distributing the load on each wheel.
When activated, the system can also minimize lateral and longitudinal body movement, reducing acceleration forces on the occupants. In this case, the Panamera’s weight is shifted to the corners like a motorcycle. It also pitches the front down during acceleration and the rear down during deceleration. When stationary, Porsche Active Ride raises the body by 55 mm to a comfortable height for entering and exiting the vehicle.
Personalization: Crafting Your Dream Panamera
A wide range of options are available for the Panamera to meet customers’ personalization needs in this segment. Additionally, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur has developed several options that allow for direct configuration of the Panamera, including SportDesign packages with various choices, special interior accents, and 21-inch wheel options. Furthermore, the standard color palette has been expanded with Porsche’s distinctive Paint to Sample and Paint to Sample Plus programs.
In addition to the configurable options for the Panamera, Porsche offers the Sonderwunsch personalization program, allowing customers to participate in the production process and create a truly unique vehicle.
