The VinFast VF8 Northern Club’s Conquest of Tibet: A 30-Day, 16,000km Adventure
According to the official announcement by the VF8 Northern Club Management Board, the “VF8 Conquering Tibet – Drive Our Dream” journey will officially commence on October 8, 2024, in Hanoi and is expected to return on November 5, 2024.
This expedition will feature four VF8 vehicles from the Northern Club, with eight participants in total. The fleet includes two Eco and two Plus versions, all equipped with SDI batteries, offering a maximum range of approximately 400km per charge. Throughout their journey, the VinFast VF 8 cars will rely on local charging infrastructure at their destinations to recharge.

The trip is expected to span approximately 30 days, covering nearly 16,000km. It will take the adventurers to renowned destinations such as Lijiang, Meili Snow Mountain, China’s longest and most scenic road, G318; the “winter palace” of the Dalai Lama in Lhasa; a glacier nearly 5,500m above sea level; and the foot of Mount Everest, among other landmarks.
Throughout their conquest of Tibet, the team anticipates encountering varied and challenging weather and road conditions, including high-altitude terrains of nearly 5,000m, with temperatures dipping as low as -5 to -15 degrees Celsius.
