According to a report from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA), the total market sales in September reached a record high with 36,585 units sold.
This figure represents a 45% increase from August (25,196 units) and a 44% surge compared to the same period last year (24,687 units). It is also the highest vehicle sales figure recorded since the beginning of the year.
This growth can be largely attributed to the government’s policy of supporting a 50% reduction in registration fees for domestically produced and assembled vehicles. This policy came into effect on September 1, 2024, and will last for three months.
