Tri Thức – Znews has learned that Hyundai dealers have started taking pre-orders for the 2024 Santa Fe model. The much-anticipated SUV is expected to make its official debut in Vietnam as early as the end of September.
According to sales consultants, customers can now place their deposits and expect deliveries starting in Q4. The upcoming Santa Fe has already been unveiled in the Philippines and Thailand earlier this year, so its arrival in Vietnam is not entirely unexpected.
In a conversation with a Hyundai dealer in Ho Chi Minh City, it was hinted that Hyundai might be replacing the current diesel engine option with a hybrid one. This strategy would align with the growing trend towards electrification in the automotive industry. The dealer also mentioned that there could be approximately three different trim levels, paired with two gas engine options: a 2.5L and a 2.5L turbo.
The 2.5L turbo engine is a powerhouse, delivering 281 horsepower and 422 Nm of torque. It’s mated to an 8-speed DCT transmission and an HTRAC all-wheel-drive system, enabling the SUV to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 km/h. Now, that’s impressive!

Alternatively, the Smartstream 2.5L engine produces 194 horsepower and 246 Nm of torque and is paired with a front-wheel-drive system. The new Santa Fe has grown in size compared to its predecessor, with dimensions of 4,830 x 1,900 x 1,720 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,815 mm. This translates to a more spacious interior and improved legroom for all passengers.
While the official pricing for the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe hasn’t been announced yet, we can look at the current model for reference. The 2022 Santa Fe, which is a mid-cycle refresh, is offered in four different trims with prices ranging from 1,039 to 1,349 billion VND. In the Vietnamese market, the Santa Fe competes with other mid-size SUVs in the same price bracket, such as the Ford Everest, Kia Sorento, Mazda CX-8, and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.
