The Porsche Taycan, one of the first luxury electric vehicles to be officially distributed in Vietnam back in late 2020, is about to receive a mid-life upgrade nearly four years later.
The 2025 model will be officially launched in the Vietnamese market on October 17th. This upgraded version was previously introduced to the international market in February 2024.
The luxury electric vehicle, Porsche Taycan 2025, is set to debut in Vietnam.
Compared to its predecessor, the 2025 model doesn’t differ much in terms of exterior design. The German automaker has made subtle enhancements, including a refined front bumper, new front mudguards, and the Porsche logo with hidden LED lights at the front and rear. Additionally, the matrix LED headlights now come with an optional four-beam system.

The higher-end variants, such as the Turbo and Turbo S, feature sportier front and rear bumpers. They also come with exclusive chrome Porsche logos and Turbonite gray exterior accents.
Inside the cabin, the 2025 Taycan boasts more significant improvements. It now features a 16.8-inch curved instrument cluster, a 10.9-inch central touchscreen, and an 8.4-inch display in the center console. An optional front passenger entertainment screen is available for an additional cost.

The instrument cluster also integrates a new screen that displays the vehicle’s active safety systems in 3D graphics. Additionally, it provides information about the battery, such as the remaining charge, battery temperature, and charging power.
Other interior changes include a revised steering wheel, drive mode selector knob, and an optional head-up display. A rearview camera is now standard, along with a new driver monitoring system. Meanwhile, the adaptive cruise control system with steering support and an emergency avoidance function is offered as an option.
The highlight of the 2025 Taycan lies in its improved performance specifications. With the optional Performance Battery Plus package, customers can increase the vehicle’s battery capacity from 93 kWh to 105 kWh. As a result, the range per full charge varies from 503-678 km for the rear-wheel-drive version and 558-630 km for the Turbo S model.

Moreover, the luxury car receives a boost in power output from its electric motor. The rear motor’s maximum power has increased by 109 horsepower and 40 Nm. In the standard configuration, it delivers 408 horsepower, or 435 horsepower when paired with the optional Performance Battery Plus package, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.
The 2025 Taycan 4S offers a maximum output of 544 horsepower, or 598 horsepower with the Performance Battery Plus option. The Turbo and Turbo S variants take it even further, producing 844 and 932 horsepower, respectively. As a result, the Turbo S can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds.
The Porsche Taycan 2025 boasts significantly higher power output.
Another improvement is the new DC fast-charging system, which increases the charging power from 270 kW to 320 kW. With the Performance Battery Plus package, charging the battery from 10% to 80% now takes only 18 minutes.
Additionally, the vehicle supports 150 kW charging, taking approximately 32 minutes. Unfortunately, the 22 kW AC slow charger remains an option, while the standard AC slow charger is rated at 11 kW.
The final change in the 2025 Taycan is the standard fitment of an air suspension system with steel springs. The Porsche Active Ride Control system, which is optional on all-wheel-drive versions, helps the car lean into curves like a motorcycle. This system also raises the vehicle’s ride height by 55 mm when the door is opened, making it easier for passengers to enter and exit.
Pricing for the 2025 Porsche Taycan in Vietnam has not been announced yet. In the meantime, the previous model is currently priced between VND 4.26 billion and VND 8.5 billion in the local market.
