Honda Vietnam Co., Ltd. (HVN) has recently announced the initiation of a recall campaign for the CB350 H’ness model, directly imported from India, and officially distributed through authorized CB dealerships and Honda DreamWing Big Bike dealerships.

The recall of the CB350 H’ness aims to address issues with the speedometer, braking system, and traction control system, ensuring optimal product quality.

Details of the products included in the recall are as follows:

Cause and Phenomenon: The speed sensor component employs a double-mold method in its production. The issue arises due to inadequate adhesion between the cast components of the part, resulting in the formation of gaps. Over an extended period of use, rainwater can seep into the sensor through these gaps, causing a short circuit at both ends of the IC legs within the sensor and affecting the output voltage of the wheel speed signal. Consequently, the speedometer, braking system, and traction control system may malfunction.

Remedial Measure: Starting October 15, 2014, through the Customer Service department, HVN will invite valued customers who have purchased the affected products to visit authorized CB dealerships and Honda DreamWing Big Bike dealerships via telephone and/or email, or other means of contact, to have the sensor inspected and replaced.

Resolution Time: The estimated average resolution time is 1.1 hours per vehicle, including 1 hour for repairs and approximately 6 minutes for the final inspection.

Cost: All affected vehicles will be inspected and have the necessary parts replaced free of charge by HVN.
