Wuling EV Vietnam recently dropped a hint on their official fanpage, suggesting the upcoming launch of a new model. From the sole image released by the brand, it appears that the vehicle in question is the Wuling Bingo.
Hints of the Wuling Bingo’s impending launch in Vietnam.
The arrival of the Wuling Bingo in Vietnam is no longer a secret. Back in May 2024, Wuling EV Vietnam disclosed information about their new electric vehicle, the Bingo, on their official website. Fast forward to June 2024, and the first batch of Wuling Bingo cars arrived in the country.
Wuling Bingo spotted at TMT Motors’ factory in Hung Yen province in June 2024.
The Bingo will be Wuling’s second electric car model in Vietnam, following the Hongguang Mini EV. In comparison to its predecessor, the Wuling Bingo boasts larger dimensions. Specifically, it measures 3,950 mm in length, 1,708 mm in width, and 1,580 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,560 mm.
The Wuling Bingo’s size is comparable to B-segment hatchbacks.
Not only does the Bingo surpass its predecessor in size, but its design also makes a more impressive statement. The exterior sports a sleek, rounded shape with a hint of classic styling.

While the specifics of the Wuling Bingo’s features for the Vietnamese market remain undisclosed, we can look to its offerings in foreign markets for insight. There, the electric car boasts LED headlights with a waterdrop design, integrated LED daytime running lights, steel wheels with silver-colored wheel covers, and LED taillights. Chrome accents throughout the exterior elevate the overall look and feel.

Unlike the Hongguang Mini EV, the Wuling Bingo accommodates five passengers and offers a separate cargo area, thanks to its larger dimensions. The Bingo also surpasses its predecessor in terms of equipment, featuring a 2-spoke steering wheel with function keys, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster seamlessly connected to a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, a cup holder between the front seats, an electronic parking brake, smart keyless entry, push-button start, digital air conditioning, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, and one-touch up/down power windows for the driver.

The Wuling Bingo also prioritizes safety with features such as dual front airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), an electronic parking brake, auto brake hold, cruise control, electronic stability control, a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
Details about the Wuling Bingo’s electric motor and battery for the Vietnamese market are yet to be revealed. In Indonesia, the car is equipped with an electric motor that generates a maximum output of 50 kW (approximately 67 horsepower). The lower-end model is fitted with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery boasting a capacity of 31.9 kWh, enabling a range of 333 kilometers on a single charge. This battery variant only supports slow AC charging.
On the other hand, the high-end version features a more potent LFP battery with a capacity of 37.9 kWh, delivering a maximum range of 410 kilometers. This battery option supports both slow AC and fast DC charging. With fast charging, it takes just 35 minutes to charge the battery from 30% to 80%.
The pricing of the Wuling Bingo in Vietnam remains a mystery. In Indonesia, however, the car is priced between 358 and 408 million Rupiah (approximately 565 to 644 million VND). It is predicted that the Bingo will be priced competitively in Vietnam, likely around 600 million VND. This, coupled with the lack of public charging infrastructure, may pose challenges for Wuling’s newest offering in the local market.
