The all-new Nissan Navara makes a bold statement with its rugged, boxy design. As revealed by Carscoop, the upcoming model was recently spotted during road tests in China, hinting at a potential launch in the US market. |
Nissan has kept the US market waiting for over a decade for a new version of the Navara. However, the wait is almost over as the new model is expected to be unveiled in China later this year and subsequently introduced in the US and Europe in early 2025.
The new Navara showcases a striking departure from its predecessor with its robust, boxy silhouette. The front grille features a chrome-accented design, while the standout feature is the distinctive headlamp design with tiered graphics and a bold LED light bar connecting them. The front bumper with prominent cladding adds to the athletic aesthetic.

In contrast to its muscular exterior, the Navara’s cabin exudes a modern and refined ambiance. The redesigned center console incorporates a spacious storage compartment, seamlessly integrating the infotainment and climate control displays. The D-cut steering wheel with chrome accents and two-tone leather upholstery enhances the premium feel.
The feature list includes a panoramic sunroof, three driving modes, advanced safety features, adaptive cruise control, and more. Nissan will offer a range of market-specific options and variations for the Navara to cater to diverse customer preferences.
Under the hood, the US-spec Navara is expected to be powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, generating 201 horsepower and an impressive 470 Nm of torque. According to predictions by American automotive media, a plug-in hybrid variant may also join the lineup.

As for its market position, the Nissan Navara will go up against competitors such as the Ford Ranger, LDV T60, Mitsubishi Triton, and BYD Shark in the US. In Vietnam, the Navara was launched in July with four variants, priced between VND 685 million and VND 960 million ($29,390-40,940). Its rivals in the Vietnamese market include the Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux, and Isuzu D-Max.
