At the Vietnam Auto and Motorcycle Show 2024 (VMS 2024), the Czech Republic-based car manufacturer, Skoda, showcased an impressive lineup of new vehicles.
The highlight of Skoda’s display was the Skoda Enyaq IV electric car.
Previously, Skoda had announced plans to launch the Enyaq IV in Vietnam in 2025. However, its presence at VMS 2024 has raised hopes among local customers that the vehicle might be released sooner, perhaps even by the end of this year.
The Skoda Enyaq IV boasts dimensions of 4,648 x 1,877 x 1,618 mm (length x width x height), with a wheelbase of 2,765 mm. These dimensions make it slightly more compact than its rival, the VinFast VF 8.
Additionally, Skoda’s booth featured the Skoda Kushaq, a B-segment SUV. This model would be a formidable competitor to the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and Toyota Yaris Cross if it were to be released in Vietnam.
VMS 2024 also witnessed the presence of the Skoda Superb, a D-segment car, and the Octavia vRS sedan. While it is unclear when these models will be available in Vietnam, they have gained considerable popularity in international markets.
At VMS 2024, the Skoda Kodiaq made an appearance with two new variants: the Selection 2.0 TDI and the Sportline 4×4 2.0 TDI.
The latest iteration of the Kodiaq comes equipped with modern convenience features, including a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a heads-up display. The central control cluster has been redesigned for a more streamlined look, and the gear selector has been relocated from the center console to behind the steering wheel.
