The all-new Hyundai Santa Fe has been spotted on the roads of Quảng Trị, Vietnam, and it’s a sight to behold.

This large SUV is expected to go on sale in late September and, based on these real-life images, it’s clear to see that the design remains faithful to the versions unveiled in Thailand and the Philippines. The new Santa Fe exudes a bold and luxurious aura with its sharp, angular lines and imposing stance.

The front end is well-proportioned and striking, while the rear end has sparked some controversy due to its low-slung taillight design. Many believe that if the taillight cluster were raised towards the middle of the rear end, the Santa Fe 2024 would achieve a more harmonious and eye-catching appearance.

One of the most striking features of the Santa Fe 2024 is its 21-inch wheels, the largest ever offered on a Hyundai vehicle in Vietnam. These massive wheels perfectly complement the SUV’s dimensions, which measure 4,830 x 1,900 x 1,720 mm (length x width x height) with a wheelbase of 2,815 mm, making it longer and wider than its predecessor.

According to dealer sources, Hyundai is likely to discontinue the current diesel engine option in favor of a hybrid system paired with two gasoline engines: a 2.5L and a turbocharged 2.5L variant.

The naturally aspirated 2.5L engine will deliver 194 horsepower and 246 Nm of torque, coupled with front-wheel drive. Meanwhile, the turbocharged version will produce an impressive 281 horsepower and 422 Nm of torque.

This potent powertrain will be paired with Hyundai’s HTRAC all-wheel-drive system, enabling the Santa Fe to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 8 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 km/h.

Upon its release, the Santa Fe 2024 will go head-to-head with established rivals in the large SUV segment, including the Ford Everest (priced from 1,099 to 1,545 billion VND), Kia Sorento (964 million to 1,189 billion VND), Mazda CX-8 (949 million to 1,129 billion VND), and the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport (ranging from 1,13 to 1,365 billion VND).

With its arrival, Hyundai is set to reinforce its presence in the large SUV segment and heat up the competition, as it has been a while since a new entrant has emerged in this class.
