The Vietnam Motor Show (VMS) 2024 kicked off this morning, October 23, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. The exhibition is back after a 1-year hiatus, featuring a total of 19 automotive and motorcycle brands, along with nearly 300 booths from auxiliary industries.
Automotive brands participating in VMS 2024 include Toyota, Honda, Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Skoda, Subaru, Suzuki, GAC, MG, and BYD. Meanwhile, three brands, Volkswagen, Ford, and Volvo, have withdrawn from the event.
In addition to the nine car brands mentioned, the VMS 2024 exhibition also features two-wheeler brands, including SYM, Yamaha, Honda, and UM Motocycles. Among them, UM Motocycles is an American-Colombian brand specializing in motorcycles and large-displacement motorcycles.
This year’s VMS theme is “Technology Opens the Future Green,” showcasing the brands’ commitment to providing green and sustainable mobility solutions. As a result, the brands presented a range of environmentally friendly electric and hybrid vehicles at VMS 2024.
Some notable “green” models at the exhibition include the Honda Civic hybrid, making its debut in Vietnam, the Skoda Enyaq iV, and BYD’s electric vehicle lineup. Toyota will also contribute an electric concept car never before seen in Vietnam.
Additionally, several other new models are being introduced at this year’s show, including the 30th-anniversary editions of the Mitsubishi Xforce, Xpander, and Attrage; Skoda Octavia, Kodiaq, and Superb; Toyota Land Cruiser Prado; and the Subaru Crosstrek.
The VMS 2024 exhibition will be open to the public from 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm on October 23 and from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm from October 24 to 27. Visitors can purchase tickets online or directly at the ticket counters for VND 30,000 per person.
