The IM LS7 takes center stage at MG’s VMS 2024 exhibit, boasting a stylish, luxurious design and a tech-filled interior.
At the Vietnam Motor Show 2024, MG presented an intriguing lineup of vehicles, including the MG4, MG7, and the Cyberster. The brand’s display also featured a relatively unknown model to the Vietnamese market, the IM LS7.
IM Motor is a premium brand under the SAIC Group, MG’s parent company. The IM LS7 is currently available in China in six trim levels, with prices ranging from 350,000 to 500,000 CNY (approximately 1.18 to 1.69 billion VND). Despite its high price tag, the vehicle’s eye-catching design and array of exciting features have made it a popular choice in the Chinese market. Notably, the IM LS7 made headlines in its home market by securing 3,000 orders within just one hour of deposit opening.
The IM LS7 showcases sleek and modern styling, with smooth curves that exude elegance. Its dimensions are impressive, measuring 5,049 mm in length, 2,002 mm in width, and 1,731 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,060 mm. The front of the vehicle forgoes a traditional grille, instead featuring distinctive L-shaped LED daytime running lights. The rear design draws comparisons to Aston Martin models, adding to its sophisticated aesthetic.
This electric CUV boasts a modern interior with a standout feature: a 26.3-inch screen that integrates both the instrument cluster and the central infotainment display. There’s also an additional screen for the front passenger. These screens have an up-and-down sliding mechanism, enhancing convenience during drives.
The LS7 is equipped with an advanced Nvidia OrinX system, two laser radars, a Qualcomm 8155 chip, gigabit ethernet connectivity, and two 2K resolution AMOLED screens. Its cameras, lidar, and collision sensors, coupled with powerful processing chips, enable autonomous driving capabilities.
The IM LS7’s seats are designed with zero-gravity technology, providing exceptional comfort for occupants. The right side of the cabin features a 1,955 mm electric slide rail that connects the front and rear seats, allowing for flexible configurations. For instance, the front seat can be folded flat and pushed forward to maximize legroom for the rear passenger, who also benefits from a 121-degree reclining seat, a footrest, and amenities like massage, heating, and cooling functions.
In China, the LS7 offers a range of electric powertrain options, including rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. It also provides three battery options: 77 kWh, 90 kWh, and 100 kWh, delivering an impressive range of approximately 510 to 660 kilometers on a single charge.

MG’s Stunning Display at VMS 2024: MG Cyberster Sports Car Steals the Show with a Price Tag of 3.2 Billion VND
The MG Cyberster is an exclusive offering, with only 100 units available in Vietnam. The eye-watering price tag of 3.2 billion VND has certainly raised some eyebrows, especially considering it is nearly three times the price of the same car in China. This significant price difference is rather intriguing.
