The Lexus ES 2025 user manual has been leaked recently, giving enthusiasts a glimpse into what they can expect from the upcoming model.
The Lexus ES is currently in its seventh generation, having been on the market since mid-2018. According to Carscoops, the current generation of the Lexus ES is starting to show its age, and it seems time for a new iteration. However, the manufacturer intends to keep the current version alive for a few more years with a second facelift.
The Lexus ES 2025 user manual was recently leaked and spread widely in China, giving users some insight into this mid-life cycle upgrade.
At first glance, the leaked images of the sedan Lexus in the user manual might be mistaken for the current ES model. However, a closer look reveals some changes, starting with the distinctive Z-shaped daytime running lights as part of the new front lighting setup. The spindle grille retains its signature shape but features a completely revised interior design, borrowing cues from the updated RX.
The rest of the body and the rear end remain largely unchanged.
Inside the cabin, the Lexus ES 2025 promises to deliver even more upgrades. Notably, a large touchscreen infotainment system dominates the dashboard, resembling the 14-inch screen found in the newer NX and RX SUVs. This change has prompted a redesign of the center console, including reconfigured air vents and the removal of physical buttons. It remains to be seen whether Lexus will retain the analog clock currently positioned next to the 12.3-inch screen in the current model.
Additionally, the car receives another upgrade in the form of a digital instrument cluster, possibly borrowed from the larger LS sedan or the LM minivan. The presence of a gear shift lever indicates that this is an ICE or hybrid Lexus ES model, rather than one of the rumored EV variants.
Since late 2023, there have been rumors about a significantly refreshed Lexus ES based on the latest Toyota Camry platform. In reality, this scenario is still plausible for the electric version of the ES. The gasoline-powered version might still utilize the leaked architecture.
It is unclear at this point if the Lexus ES 2025 will feature any changes to its powertrain options. It is possible that Lexus might discontinue the conventional engine options and make the hybrid configuration the default, similar to the Toyota Camry. The current Lexus ES offers three powertrain choices: a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine producing 203 horsepower (ES 250), a 3.5L V6 engine generating 302 horsepower (ES 350), and a 2.5L hybrid system with a combined output of 215 horsepower (ES 300h)
