At the 2024 Philippines International Auto Show, Mitsubishi unveiled its new concept car, the DST. This concept car is more than just a showcase; it previews an upcoming commercial vehicle to be released in the future, believed to be the Xforce 7-seater.
According to Mitsubishi, the Xforce 7-seater will primarily target the Southeast Asian market. The commercial version of the DST Concept will join the brand’s lineup in the region, alongside the Xforce, Pajero Sport, and Xpander Cross. In other words, it is not a direct replacement for any of the existing Mitsubishi SUV models.
The DST Concept combines the design elements of the Xforce and Pajero Sport, resulting in a robust and square-shaped vehicle. It features prominent character lines that accentuate the hood, wheel arches, and flanks.

Designed with the theme “Gravitas & Dynamism,” the concept car also incorporates Mitsubishi’s familiar “Dynamic Shield” design language at the front.

Additionally, a fold-out table is integrated into the back of the front seats, and a touchscreen display in the center armrest allows rear passengers to control the climate settings. The third row of seats is rather cramped and only suitable for children or can be folded down to increase luggage space.

Mitsubishi has not yet released detailed specifications for the DST Concept. However, it is known that the vehicle will be developed based on a unibody chassis, possibly a lengthened version of the Xforce’s platform.
The engine specifications for the Xforce 7-seater are yet to be confirmed. Mitsubishi has only confirmed that the vehicle will have front-wheel drive, a high ground clearance, and five driving modes (Normal, Tarmac, Gravel, Mud, and Wet).
Meanwhile, the Xforce 5-seater, currently on sale in Southeast Asia, is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 103 horsepower. This engine is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive.
The Mitsubishi Xforce 7-seater is expected to share the same engine as the 5-seater model.
The Mitsubishi Xforce 7-seater is expected to be launched in 2025, with more details to be revealed in the coming months.
