Morgan has announced plans to cease production of the Plus Six early next year, and to commemorate this special event, the company has introduced a new Pinnacle edition, featuring “attributes born from special customer order requests.”
The exterior, inspired by classic styling, remains largely unchanged, although customers will find a warm silver satin accent as well as a Le Mans-style flip-top fuel cap with a polished finish.
The Morgan Plus Six Pinnacle convertible will be available in any exterior color, including sample paints, at no additional cost.
More significant changes occur within, as the car features Fawn, Explore, or Riviera leather created in collaboration with Bridge of Weir.
In addition to the special trim, there are more opulent seats with unique stitching and Pinnacle embroidery. These are paired with natural sheepskin rugs and teak wood trim. A special touch is the Pinnacle logo in aluminum, inlaid into the center console’s wood veneer in a Japanese-inspired marquetry style.
Under the hood sits a BMW-supplied 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six engine, producing 335 horsepower and 500 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, enabling the car to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 267 km/h.
Morgan will produce only 30 Pinnacle editions, marking the end of the five-year Plus Six production run, during which nearly 1,000 units were crafted for customers in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Pricing starts at £96,995 (approximately $125,368) in the UK, including VAT.
Looking ahead, Morgan will introduce an all-new flagship model in 2025. Little is known about this vehicle, but it appears to embrace modern design, as the Plus Six will be “the last of Morgan’s high-performance sports cars to feature the traditional wing shape.”
