It appears that Ferrari had no trouble selling out its limited-edition F80 hybrid hypercar, with all 799 units spoken for before its public debut. However, not all the buyers are private enthusiasts, as a German dealer has just listed a slot for the F80 on their website, and it comes with a hefty premium over the car’s starting price.

German Supercar Dealer Boldly Asks $6.3 Million for the Ferrari F80, But Will Any Billionaire Bite?

In the United States, the F80 starts at $4 million, and of course, the price will climb much higher as customers begin to personalize and order expensive options. Even so, it’s unlikely to surpass the staggering €5.9 million or $6.3 million, equivalent to 148 billion VND, that a German car dealer is trying to sell it for.

It’s unclear whether the dealer initially secured an order themselves or if a private customer within the 799 F80 buyers has decided to back out and is flipping the car for a profit. Either way, the dealer clearly believes there’s enough pent-up demand for the F80 that someone will be happy to pay a $2.3 million, about 55 billion VND, premium to own this new Ferrari.

While there’s no denying that a new hypercar from Ferrari is incredibly desirable, there’s no guarantee that spending $6.3 million on a new F80 will be a wise financial move. The F80’s predecessor, the Ferrari LaFerrari, typically sells for between $3 and $4 million, and with only 399 units produced, it’s significantly rarer than the F80.

It’s also possible that this dealer doesn’t have any allocation for the F80, and this could be a publicity stunt that didn’t cost them a dime, but Ferrari is likely watching and may blacklist the dealer, even if they do have an F80 allocation.
