Ford’s CEO has recently revealed that the upcoming electric Ford Ranger EV pickup will be a game-changer.

As per the plan, the Ford Ranger EV will go into production in 2027. It will be developed on a dedicated all-new platform for electric vehicles, offering a cost-competitive option.

While Ford has not disclosed much information about this new model, they assured that the Ranger EV would cater to customers seeking more value for their money, including extended range, enhanced utilities, and versatility.

Notably, Ford’s CEO emphasized that the Ranger EV would have a cost structure comparable to any Chinese automaker setting up a factory in Mexico in the future. This indicates that the vehicle will be both affordable and profitable.

Jim Farley, Ford’s CEO, anticipates approximately 150 new electric vehicle models to be introduced in the North American market by the end of 2026.

With such intense competition, automakers are forced to adjust vehicle prices and production costs to optimize profits.
