On November 2, 2024, Wuling will officially launch its second car in Vietnam, an electric 5-door SUV called Bingo, a product that is also very popular in the Chinese market like the Hongguang Mini EV model.
Prior to the launch, the specifications and, more importantly, the selling price of the Wuling Bingo car were revealed. Accordingly, the Wuling Bingo electric car in Vietnam will have two versions: Bingo 333 and Bingo 410. This naming convention indicates the range the car can travel after a full charge.
The expected selling price for the Wuling Bingo 333 electric car is 470 million VND, and the Wuling Bingo 410 is priced at up to 530 million VND. This price includes the battery.
Compared to the Hongguang Mini EV sold in Vietnam, the Wuling Bingo is larger in size. Accordingly, this model has dimensions of 3,950 x 1,708 x 1,580 mm in length, width, and height, respectively, and a wheelbase of 2,560 mm.
Not only in size but also in design and equipment, the Wuling Bingo is more impressive than the Hongguang Mini EV. This car is designed in a classic style with rounded and soft lines. In addition, the Wuling Bingo is also considered to have an appearance reminiscent of luxury Porsche cars.
The Wuling Bingo is equipped with LED headlights in the shape of a water drop, integrated with LED daytime running lights, steel wheels with silver-colored hubcaps, and LED taillights. In addition, the contrasting roof color with the body gives it a more fashionable look.
Inside the Wuling Bingo is a five-seat interior space with a separate cargo area. Notable equipment of this model includes a two-spoke steering wheel with function keys, a digital instrument cluster connected to a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, a cup holder between the two front seats, an electronic parking brake, smart keys, push-button start, digital air conditioning, power-adjustable driver’s seat, and one-touch up/down windows on the driver’s side.
The Wuling Bingo also offers a more comprehensive safety package than the Hongguang Mini EV, featuring dual front airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), an electronic parking brake, automatic temporary hold, cruise control, electronic stability control, a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
The Wuling Bingo is powered by an electric motor with a maximum output of approximately 67 horsepower. The lower trim uses a lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery with a capacity of 31.9 kWh and only supports slow AC charging. In contrast, the higher trim is equipped with an LFP battery with a capacity of 37.9 kWh and supports both slow AC and fast DC charging. With the fast charger, the time to increase the battery level from 30% to 80% is 35 minutes.
